Tristan's Dream Come True

Tristan awakens in the middle of the night with a plan and sketches the layout of a "July garden" using Goodman's tips and others. Will it work.....stay tuned.

And he finally discovers an inconspicuous place that no one will mind him doing it in.

Getting Ready for the 4th

Our Ward Float has been the gathering place for the ward this past 2 weeks. It has been great fun and we have had great support. Brother Dale Goodman, 75, sculptured the horse with George Washington kneeling by it. The slogan on the side reads:
"Who...More Than Self... Their Country Loved". We had several parties at our house, until it started raining and we had to seek cover.

Warped Tour 2008

Ryan's annual warped tour road trip to the Valley! I'm 54 and the generation gap keeps getting
bigger. I mean crazzzzzyyyy music and take a look at these names! Whatever happened to decent names like Rolling Stones, Creedence Clearwater Revival, etc????? All in all, it was fun, and they were great kids!

GOING HOME!

No more sleepless nights at the Hospital

We love our marian and are so thankful to have her on the road to recovery. She gets to go back to school on Monday after two whole nights in the hospital, Tammy sleeping over.

Cooperation as usual...They WERE all watching the Suns

WAS THE FIELDTRIP WORTH IT????

SHE DIDN'T EVEN CRY! MARIAN'S 1ST HANGOVER!
ALL ALONE.....NOT!...

Well, we took Marian to the ER this morning, and they admitted her for the night for IV fluids and antibiotics. She was very dehydrated and had pneumonia. It is amazing what kids can do when they are that motivated (go on a fieldtrip when they are so sick).

Friday, April 18, 2008

Today was the long awaited fieldtrip Marian has been so anxious for. She and Tam had everything planned to the last detail... HOWEVER... as you can see she is as put out as the ape in the background! Marian tried as long as she could to pretend she was not sick, but by the first rest stop she gave it up. With the exception of a few drug-filled hours, she was barely able to take in the sights. She really looked the part at our last stop, the Rio Grande Zoo, and we got a lot of sympathetic looks. People really stepped out of the way for her. Worked out great for the rest of us. All in all, we had a great and memorable time that I am sure Marian will have fond memories of when she feels better. She has already recited everything we saw, every snake, amphibian, every rapture, every beast, etc. Elyse and Tristan couldn't see enough either and they even looked interested!!! Better luck next time Marian.

We just got news that Cedro and Trist's fieldtrip is coming up, and it is in Albuquerque too. Maybe Marian can have another shot.

Gymnastic Recital

This weekend was the gymnastic recital for Tam's girls. Grandma loved watching the girls perform. And I think it is quite remarkable that Tammy found the time to let them participate. As usual, however, it was the typical 3 hr. program lasting till 10 p.m. Well do I remember with Jacque Wynn's programs, and they havn't gotten any shorter.

Cord & Whitney and little Avery were up for conference weekend, and we soaked up as much time as we could with cute little pudgy 6-mo old Avery. I've never seen a baby open her eyes so wide. So alert and happy and makes the funniest faces. Cord & Whitney are always laughing at her, and I don't blame them. She is great entertainment!!
